Hi there!
My full name is Cintia Susana, but everyone calls me Sussie. I was born and raised in Mexico City, and now I live in Berlin.
I started falling in love with coding back in 2008 without really knowing what I was doing. We were all customizing our hi5 profiles with HTML snippets, neon colors, and funny marquees. It was chaotic, super saturated, and honestly very fun. I guess that is where everything started for me.
Over time, that curiosity turned into my career. I was seriously considering the "Graphic Design" degree, but I ended up studying Computing Engineering in the "Instituto Politécnico Nacional" in Mexico City. This decision was mostly made because I got good grades in Math assignatures in High-school. 🤓
When finishing school I discovered that I could start a career in Frontend development and I loved it, because it was covering my 2 biggest interests: Design and Engineering.
After working for some years, in 2022, I got married and moved to Berlin with my husband and our dog, Nico. Big life change, best decision.
Outside work
In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting with gouache or watercolor, sketching, writing, knitting, and sewing. (Very grandma-coded 💕) I also love traveling, taking photographs, playing Animal Crossing, and going to the cinema while eating mixed salty and sweet popcorn (an acquired taste after moving to Berlin).
My favorite city in the world is Tokyo. I also have a very special obsession with Japanese stationery products, and I am seriously thinking about building a small website dedicated to everything I brought back from my last trip.
I have a very cute Scottish Terrier named Nico. Yes, he has his own Instagram account: @perrito.nicolas.
Nerdiness
I still have a soft spot for the frontend side of things, especially CSS. I am very into visual details and that "let me tweak this one more time" energy.
I also like experimenting with CSS illustrations and SVG ideas. If you are curious, you can find some of those experiments on my CodePen.
